We only exposed the parts of ourselves that our friendship needed.  We were like two peas in a pod, until that warm summer night in July.

Our bodies were intertwined when the morning sun cast the shadows of our bodies like shadow puppets dancing on the walls. When I opened my eyes you were staring at me, lightly caressing my hair.

That’s when I knew our relationship had changed, we were friends before but now we are lovers. When we were kids you were always one step ahead of me and this time is no different.
